Aaron Friedman, an attorney admitted to the Bars of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, is “Of Counsel” to the firm.  Mr. Friedman over 30 years' experience in real estate transactions: commercial and industrial real estate conveyances and financing; coop and condo purchases and sales; retail, industrial and office leasing for both landlords and tenants; clearing title matters; and multi-family, townhouse and single family home transactions. 

In over 25 years of running his own business, Mr. Friedman has been involved in almost every kind of real estate transaction.  In addition to his focus on the New York metropolitan area, he has  provided services for real estate matters in many areas of the United States (particularly Philadelphia and its suburbs, Washington D.C., southern Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Nevada and Texas) using local counsel as needed.  His experience includes:

  • the purchase and sale and mortgaging of commercial, industrial and residential real estate

  • leasing for landlords, tenants, sub-landlords, sub-sub-tenants 

  • the representation of hotel developers in the purchase of development sites in Manhattan

  • building loans, permanent loans and commercial refinancing

  • acquisition of bonus development rights in connection with the Hudson Yards District Improvement Bonus

  • the resolution of title matters, including estate succession and easement matters

  • the purchase of surplus government property such as a lighthouse, a reserve army base, buildings within the campus of a state university and a military housing complex

 

Mr. Friedman is fully fluent in written and spoken modern Hebrew and regularly represents Israeli clients in their local real estate matters. He also represents numerous Brazilians and other South Americans in their real estate matters in the United States and speaks, reads and understands Brazilian Portuguese at an intermediate level.

 

Mr. Friedman is a 1981 graduate of Yeshiva University where he majored in Greek and Latin and is a 1985 graduate of New York University School of Law.  He worked for 6 years in the real estate departments of two well-regarded NYC law firms before opening his own practice in 1991.
